Who says this lens isn't sharp?

Captured this little guy today. Actually I can't believe it came out, was walking in the house and saw this little guy in the tree. Hand held at a shutter speed of 1/100. Sometimes I get lucky. But I do believe this is another good example that a zoom lens can produce pretty sharp images.

Very sharp. I might like it a little better with a little less DOF, i.e. the background a little more out of focus.

That is indeed a sharp image....... those little sparrows are so busy, I'm surprised he sat still long enough for you to take the shot.

I agree. Unfortunatley, this lens seems to be sharpest at f6.3. If I widen the aperature more to decrease the DOF I lose a little sharpness. This is only my impression though, I haven't done any scientific comparasins.
