    Interesting looking clothing on the guy in the first image, it does stand out better in the color version. I find the second one interesting as well but it is blurry as with the rest of them. You might want to try getting your shutter speed up to eliminate any camera shake or motion blur. I prefer at least double the focal length hand held for a static subject, and at least 1/320 to eliminate any motion blur in this kind of setting.

    Hey Don, I like #1 but it looks a little flat. Did you try kicking up the contrast?

    As to the what you say about settings, I often forget to even change settings from shot to shot situations and I was shooting my 17-70. THe ratio was correct for #1 1/100 with a 70mm at 6.3, but no so good for the other two. #2 was 1/80, 70mm at 8.0 and #3 was 1/40, 34mm at 8.0.
