Now we have view sizes S,M,L,X1,X2,X3, and O. Their default W*H work fine for landscape images, e.g, for X3( Up to 1600 * Up to 1200) I have a perfectly 1600*1067(3:2) and fill beautifully on a 1920*1080 monitor. But for a portrait image, I ONLY have 800*1200(2:3) not 1067*1600 as I expected. The image looks small and can't fill most area of a 1080*1920 monitor. I think the maximum W*H will follow the image orientation to keep it as large as possible, right?:scratch

TIA.

Most screens are a wider than high. For a display size to fit screens without scrolling, portrait sizes are smaller by design. For an overview on our different display sizes take a look here.

Okay. I've read the help. My concern is, for portraint image, the gap between X3 and O is huge.

Our viewing styles are intended to display photos as large as possible without the need for scrolling. With our current display sizes that should work just fine on most screens.
If you'd like to view photos larger on a very large screen, you could only use the original size.

You could make a suggestion on the SmugMug feedback page and explain your use case for how you'd like to use display sizes and what sizes you'd be interested in.
