    Thank you as well windoze. They sure are one of my favourite ducks just for their colours alone.

    I see a lot of wood duck pictures....most don't do them justice.

    I just wish I could get anywhere close to a wood duck. They are do spooky around here. How are you getting close enough for these gorgeous shotsz. They are so beautiful...congrats! Best wishes, pear

    They can be hard to get close to at times, but I don't have that problem in this spot.

    If they are spooked easy, get some un-salted peanuts, and throw a few in, if they are hungry they will turn around and come back for them. It has worked for me in the past and they will dive for them as well. When this happens you should get some nice wing flaps. Although I did not have to do that for this series. Just keep trying, and thank you for your kind words.
