:yikes I may have to put the shades on to view this image. Thanks for the warning.

I like it a lot, Good work. thumb.gif

Why do you think color works for this image better than a B&W treatment?

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

The key to the shot, in my opinion, is the cup of beer in the hand
of the guy in the white wife-beater shirt in front of an Alcoholics
Anonymous storefront. In B&W, it's not clear that the contents
of the cup is beer. It could be soda pop.

Without the "Friends of Bill W" sign, I would have done it in
    black and white.

I agree about the cup of beer, it makes the capture.

I think you're right, Tony, as the image is all about the beer and the sign. It's unfortunate that in color, the stuff on the jacket on the right has such a draw on the eye. But it is what it is.

This is one I waited for. I saw the sign, and people walking past
on the sidewalk, but none were obviously carrying a drink. Finally,
this guy came along with his cup of beer.

I'd never heard of Bill W until now, had to look that one up. The shot definitely makes more sense now that I know.

hmmm, a lot of chatter and a square crop to justify a capture? I don't know

beer and sign aside I think it's interesting but my first impression was that it was too closely cropped
