Had a little free time today (doesn't happen often). What to do? Went looking for some color. (Click for the EXIF)

Hadn't had a chance to really use the continous auto focus yet. Looks like it worked as this leaf was to/away quite a bit. Handheld also. Wish I'd used a bit tighter ap. so the DOF was deeper - oh well.

Again here with the handheld & C-AF. I'm really liking the sharpness of these Olympus lenses - this is a pretty tight crop.

Figured I'd let the Sony out to play so I shot a little IR

This is a barn I've shot several times because I like it and it's close to home.

HI. the third picture is awesome! I love the comp and shadows. I also really like the fact that the spider and barn picture are in the thirds and not centered.

Numbers 2 & 3 are awesome. It looks like the spider is spinning a new web. Great details.

The B&W has great contrast. The black road is perfect there. It leads my eye through the entire frame.

    Well done!

I was surprised by the spider actually - just about walked into it. I was walking the edge of the road looking for my shot in #3. It was hanging above the edge of the road. I think actually it had spun its web to close and it got tore up by a car. It looked like a tangled mess. It was at a good shooting height though rolleyes1.gif

Thanks for the comments Shannon, Dave, Fred, and Erich

Glad you liked it. It was a brightly colored subject to start with. Developed from RAW into Adobe RGB colorspace. The biggest part though is a couple quick adjustments in LAB - you can get the basics from Dan Margulis' book here. I haven't gotten very far into the book but it's excellent so far.
