This guy (and about 10 of his friends) pulled my sled when I was in Alaska.

35 miles north of the Arctic Circle just south of the Brooks Range, approx. one hour and a half flight time (+/-) north of Fairbanks.

January 2010, coldest day during the trip...-70F

Nikon still worked!! Battery life... well, 10 shots per battery before needing a recharge.

Awesome auroras, simply magical!!

Sounds like a fantastic trip. In those temps I would be more worried about the photographer working than the camera. Love the shot and the effective B&W processing.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice shot and like the black and White. But 10 shots per battery for the Nikon whoa that does not sould too good. Hope you had a great time there.

    Thanks everyone!!
Many thanks for your comments and feedback.

    I appreciate it!!

I'll try to post some aurora shots, not sure exactly which thread/category they should go. They're wild alright just not wildlife, however.
