I just returned from a hike yesterday with my son. THe wildflowers are peaking and is the best in spots I've ever seen it. So if you've been wanting to visiting the coastal wildflowers in the Spring this is the time. :thumb

It's interesting how this year seems to be awesome for the coastal wildflowers and awful for the inland ones...
Yeah, its kinda funny the way the blooms turned out being great in some places and not so much in others. I heard that Merced Canyon had a great year as well for poppies. But places like the Carizzo Plain and Poppy Reserve weren't so hot. The good part about this year is that the areas closer to the coast and home for me are lookin' good. I'm used to driving all over kindom come for the blooms.

Which trail in Big Sur is this? I am planning to hike there this coming weekend. Any info on best places to see the wildflowers would be greatly appreciated!
The is the Rocky Ridge Trail in Garrapta. Enjoy your hike. Its really quite awesome right now.
