I prefer the first--I'm less crazy about the head on shots of birds. Beautiful looking bird! Best, Pam

First one but what's up with the lighter band of green across the top? The distinct transition from the darker tones to the lighter one is throwing me.

I'm not sure what that band is. I didn't notice it untill I did this posting. I'll be going back to check the original when I get a chance.

Well 3 for 3 on the first one so far. It is just so "normal", I was leaning towards the second for it's uniquness.

Smooth out the BG in the upper right and #1 gets my vote.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I checked out that light colored "band" in #1. There was another above that one that I had cropped off. I think they may have been a couple small branches or tall weeds blowing around in the wind. I did a recrop and got rid of most of it. I didn't have a lot of luck smoothing it out. I have Elements10 and Lightroom4, what's the best wat to go about that? A little off topic maybe.

The first for me too ,nice shot btw-I think the extra band is just another weed out of focus I've seen this before.
