It's really an interesting image lens, that's for sure. I don't think exposure is the issue, that seems fine to me. However, the composition, or maybe just the angle, seems off. It's like I'm looking at a jumble in the middle of the frame and my mind doesn't settle on anything long enough to strike me emotionally. There's a scene there with the dog and the woman looking away, and then there's a scene with woman and dog looking uninterested.
I think the subjects work and the comp is good, it's just that the shot looks overexposed, maybe more PP?
Everything indicates a good exposure, the sun was starting to get high behind the lady and with all the white and the snow, makes it look too bright to me as well. Thanks Rags !

I am inclined to agree with you on all points Quincy , I was standing above them and sinking in the snow and it didn't feel right somehow, when I tried to compose and hit the shutter.
Interesting, but the detached air of the two people is
explained by the setting. That doesn't work as it would
if the couple was photographed somewhere else.

I don't know what the blue icon thingy means, but what
I meant was that a photograph of a couple sitting together
but detached from each other can be interesting. We've
seen some like that here.
A couple resting after a hike in the snow are not particularly
expected to be absorbed with each other.
