Hi you'll,

My son was home from Iraq on leave so he and his family paid a call. After spending a few days with my four grandchildren I need a rest. I need a rest real bad. :hurt

Conner (17 months) was upset that I put a fence around the pool

He managed to get some pool time in

his sisters just dived in

They took over the hot tub

They left for home today and Conner said his first word, "grandpa". I miss them already.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks, Harry. Good to see what's close to you.

I thought of you and your son on Halloween. My daughter was so excited to go trick or treating, but she got sick and had a complete meltdown and wasn't going to get to go trick or treating. I got home and she was feeling better, but had missed all her friends.

So the two of us went out, holding hands. She's 11. We got to talking about life, the world, gravity, lots of cools stuff, and I said, "You know, we're all so busy. I go to work, you go to school. Running around, and then something like this happens, and you realize how lucky you are."

She said, "Yeah. Cause there's kids in the world who's fathers are in the army and they don't get to see them for a long time."

And I said, "And sometimes their dads never come home, and that's the saddest of all."

    She said, "Yeah."

    Hi Harry !

You have a beautiful family. We're free men because of people like your son who risks their life to defend their country. We can't be thankful enough for that.

Very nice pictures thumb.gif ! drums.gif The first one, Connor upset about the fence, is a award-winner in my book ylsuper.gif .

Thank you for sharing. The best of luck to your son,
    Thierry

Good story David. The gals are taking Jason's absence pretty hard especially the oldest. Heck I'm not taking it all that well myself. http://www.flatoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050925/NEWS01/509250333/1006 We will all be relieved when he comes home for good

    Hey Ginger,

He's midway through his tour in Iraq. He should be home for good in late April or early may.

Thaks Yuri. One of the problems with being the family photographer is that you never get into the pics yourself.
