It seems like he mostly just talked about the form factor and discussed the photos very little. I think there were only three very small photos even shown during the video.

Yeah, and what he compared it with was really stupid, IMO.

The photos are small, from what I understand...1.2MP

When mine arrives I'll do a review and post it here. But it's not due to arrive till June/July

Some interesting links from sources in this thread:

A discussion thread on the camera: http://www.nikoncafe.com/vforums/showthread.php?t=334507&highlight=chris101
    A Lytro gallery: https://pictures.lytro.com/Chris101/
    Lytro's facebook presence: http://www.facebook.com/Lytro
    Lytro forums: http://support.lytro.com/forums

An interesting thing I've come across in my reading is a future capability to make 3D images from the Lytro capture. Not sure how good it will be, but sounds intriguing - more intriguing to me than the refocusing capability.

Yup, been to all those links already.

There is supposed to be an update that allows for the entire photo to be in focus and the 3D/Tilt update too.

I was wondering about the entire photo being in focus. It seems like if they can make any part of the photo be in focus, then they could make the entire photo be in focus. That could be especially useful for close objects.

    I Get It
The lytro is everything people say it is, good and bad. It's not a decent first or second camera. It's frustrating, it's magical. It's a challenge to take really interesting pictures, but that's probably why many of us are into photography. I've only had my camera a few weeks and am still only about 50% proficient with it. I don't shoot the easy, posed, "cute" pictures of people in many of the sample pictures.

    My Lytro images:

I have some pictures of my Lytro hiking setup here:

and an animated GIF made from a Lytro image file here:
