I was lucky to have had a chance to work with this young lady at the last comic con. Took me a while to process as I was about to embark on my move adventure.. but the move is almost done and over with, and here are the results.

some cool shots there..though for a super hero type the images seem a bit static...need some action/dynamic poses!

OK! I get it. You can do different color irises! :D
I really like #9, except I'd put a little color into her part.
    Great model.

Looks like a lot of fun. My only comment is the cropping off just below the knee. I think maybe I'm an "above the knee" kinda of person, or full length. Although I can see how that would encroach on that sash hanging down.

    Icebear.. thanks ;) I guess.
the green iris is her natural color; there was a request to change it to red :P

she is an amazing person to work with; I had a lot of fun.

Helvegr, thank you for the feedback.
I am still figuring out my "style". and I really wanted to keep the sash in tact as well as keep things close to the comics. that was one of the things I saw consistently.

The compression of the focus to unfocused zones make me think you shot these with a high power tele, something I miss with my mid range primes and makes me want to save up for a good tele.
I like Cosplay as a photographic subject in general and these are cool shots but I agree with Daniel in that it would be nice to see more implied action on the models part.
I like number one the best :D

More action than flying/levitating like she is in #10? Love that shot.

thank you very much. almost every shot was "Chopped" as well with extra flames and destruction.. but i thought those to be a wee gaudy.. can post a few, if you guys like.

My vote is lets see em! It is a Marvel Comic character after all, not a genre that is exactly known for subtlety and nuanced themes.

I really like the look and feel of the first one in the second set, but what is that on the models right side? Something peeking out from behind a layer mask? Looks like a bit of a green smudge. But apart from that I think its a great image.

yeah, I figured I went a little too far with the flare there. :(

I did screw up this pic, though.. I did overwrite the file by accident. The biggest problem - I no longer have the raw file as my hdd crashed :( So, yes, I am stuck with this green flare there.
On the second thought, I can try adjusting the color selectively.. hmm..
