Fascinating, Benn. Can you get a little more detail into the woman's clothes, and darken the wall a bit? I want to see her and the reflections more.

It has a very restful feeling to it . I like the reflections, and composition, I agree with Harry, maybe a tad off the bottom ?

I would have to agree with the above comments. The most bothersome part for me is the negative space. I do dig the ladies expression and the reflections.

The 2nd version does it for me. I want to know what's weighing so heavily on her when, from the reflection, she appears to be in a paradise of sorts. The palm in the reflection contrasting with her turtleneck sweater seems to further the contradiction for me as well. I like it.

Good job, Ben. This is one of the few times I've seen a crop actually improve a picture.

I actually do not like the new crop -- too much horizontal aspect to it. Left side now becomes a distraction. I would try cropping the right edge to the door, then cropping an equal amount off the bottom to keep the square crop.

    Fair enough

If you're going to do all that cropping after the fact, Ben, better get yourself a D800 at 36 megapixels.

I rather like the negative space. It emphasized that her attention is inward
instead of on something just out of the frame.
