Wow! Not cool?

I was just viewing a fellow dgrinners smugmug site when I discovered that he was "logged-in". Being a nice guy... I clicked on "log out" for him and continued surfing. I'm haunted by the unknown... what if I had attempted to do bad things to his account or operations that only he should do?

Why was I able to navigate to an "open" page?

How could you tell the difference between him being logged in and you?

Just because you are on someone elses site and see the word logout does not mean you are logged in as them - just that you are logged in to smugmug.

I wasn't logged in to SM at the time.

Angelo, you probably had logged in cookie on the computer you were using.

ahhhh, that's a strong possibility... anyway I've done further testing and discovered this is a non-issue. The apparent logged-in status does not allow one to access someone else's controls.
