Just dusted off my macro lens and took these two shots whilst at the Oysterbeds yesterday morning. Some people were surprised to see me reach in my camera bag, return the E5 + Bigma and pull out my E3 + Sigma 150 Macro. I was asked what was the focal length of the macro - not realising what it was. When I started to shoot this female orange tip, things became clear.

No image stacking - would not know where to begin with live insects in the field. Control on dof was by using the aperture size - f14 in these cases.

Hope you like these.

nice captures , i like em
stacking would not be necessary here , as you captured the entire subject

Thank you for your kind reply.
I have often looked at image stacking and seen the remarkable results it can achieve. One day I shall try it for myself.

    thats a good idea
but you should understand the reason why stacking is done

me , i never managed to stack software-matically ( Zerene and such ) . i always do it manually in PhotoShop

Unfortunately, I gave up on Photoshop and use Lightroom 4 instead.
