This image shows a guy by the waterfall to give some perspective for those who have never been there.

Note there is no trail or path down to the beach. It''s a heck of a steep hill / cliff./ Some day i need to get down there.

It is a great shot but I kept wondering who Julia Phieffer is and why you would be posting someone's else's picture? Then I saw the post down below. :)

    Awesome catch, Sam!
I have never seen the image of these falls with a human next to it at the bottom.
As you have said, the base is very hard to reach. Not impossible, but difficult.

Fixed your title. It's Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park for searchability purposes.

why would you get a ticket going down there? People are not allowed down for some reason in a state park?

To me, this shot is a fantastic composition and perfectly lit - I know this because I keep coming back to look, again and again..... thumb.gif

She just needs to be a physical hiker type gal. Not one of those 5' 10" 100 ponders. :D

The bigger question is getting all the gear down and back up.

Hey, my little 100 lb friend Cassey could probably kick both of our asses. nod.gif

Heck, I'd be happy just duplicating your shot from the cliff with a girl in it. On the other hand, getting down and back up would be no problem with a top rope and some climbing gear. Big question on whether that's allowed or not though. I'm guessing the dude in that shot waded up the beach from an access point, so that's another option using a dry bag. Actually if you hit it at low tide, you might be able to walk to it without getting wet.

He didn't gain access from another location and walk along the beach. He climbed down the hill. I think if you tried to use ropes and gear you would be in violation of something. :D

I think if you wanted to do this you would want to act in stealth mode, get the shot and take the consequences.

Yeah I dont think there is a way to walk it, at least none that I saw. You can climb down the cliff but the rangers ticket people because they got tired of rescuing people who climbed down and then couldnt get back up. Or fell and hurt themselves.

I was told you can kayak in if you have the skills to not smash on a rock. Or go at sunrise on a week day, doubt there would be any rangers around.
