I was a contract photographer on hand for the KU commencement in Lawrence, KS. Their commencement speaker was Alan Mulally, the CEO of Ford. Senator Bob Dole was set to receive an honorary degree as well, but was unable to attend last minute due to health reasons (he's now 91 years old).

I was pleased with some of the shots considering how bright it was. Sooooo sunny. lol

Here are a few PR shots from the event. I was particularly happy with the commencement address photos I was able to get.

A nice collection of graduation shots...especially considering the harsh sunlight.

Beautifully processed shots. I particularly like the second and third one of the speaker. Also, I am surprised by the sparse crowd -- early during setup?

I really like the photo of all the grads and balloons. You did a good job of the speech shots in what is obviously bright conditions.
