    Hi RonChris, nice shots. Looks like you got the focus bang on the eyes in #1.

    The Bee, is actually a hover fly. Very commonly mistaken for bees, especially as some of them mimic bees. Sometimes they're mistaken for wasps too but they're definitely not wasp like (See my thread yesterday titled first hover this season or something like it, some species will happily sit on your hand although the one in my photo is one of those that will rarely sit on your hand). :)

    Good ones- as Ian says #1 is a hoverfly- Myathropa florea
