LR4 problem: Trying to put a watermark on my images. Telling it to be Opacity 60% and in the lower right. It doesn't change the opacity or the placement anyone else have this issue?

Save your image as a png.

    You can't have transparent jpgs.

Ya got me on that point maybe at some point I will do a logo but for now just a text one is just fine. Got it to work by making a preset now all is good and I fully understand the feature.
    Thanks

Just as a side note, I've recently moved away from using LR to do watermarks. I opted to do the watermarking as an action in photoshop. I then took that action and turned it into a droplet for LR to execute on export.

Ultimately I found that gave me the most control over the watermark. Plus at the moment I'm also adding a dropshadow along with the watermark for when I export to my blog. Overall I even think that the watermark looks better. LR doesn't seem to resize the png file real well, so on some images I noticed it didn't look real great.

PNG always for watermarks. It has to do with transparent parts of your image. This also seems to be the case with the opacity of your watermark.
