Have to say you see a lot of woodlice shots where they're in quite a dull or gray environment. In this case, I was able to coax this one onto a small twig and with the camera rested on my knee, twig in thumb and forefinger, I was able to manipulate the background
This specimen appeared to have a damaged antennae
This is a mad one but have to admit I love the BG
Not often a view of a bug that is kept, however the detail in the armour plating is very cool

heheh, I know what you mean Phil. They can be quite mundane I guess however I do feel that I've painted them in a different light (no pun intended ) by providing a muchg more colourful and vibrant background .
