Accidental Pinup

This shot was an out-take from a recent fashion shoot. Although I've never had an inclination to try pinup, this shot was just calling out that genre to me. So a couple of minutes in Photoshop, and now I'm thinking I might want to do more. :huh

Joel- I like this shot a lot but something is bugging me about the blue dot. I am not sure if is too bright, should be faded more, or the placement of it but it just seems a tad bit off for some reason.

Lighting looks great, I really like the pose, and she is very attractive to boot.

Maybe make the blue dot more solid. Don't face it out at all. She seems pretty sharp all the way around, so putting the spot as a hard edge won't be too weird. Just a thought...

Aaron and Pono, thanks for the input. Yeah, the dot was just a quick 2 minute hack just to see what it looked like. I thought it looked pretty good at the time, but in retrospect not so much. I'll probably take another crack at it. Thanks again for the helpful comments.

I have a strange twisted mind so her position plus the dot made me think of flatulence. Of course, I am probably the only one.

I like the pic a lot though!

    Joel,

This one look odd to me. It's as though her neck is sunk into her body cavity and the top of her rib cage is sticking up.

To me it seems like your trying to make something out of not something. :D

First I like the model, the lighting and the pose.thumb.gif
Second, I really don't like the blue dot (although I know it's popular in pinup work).

I would definitely try some more pinup processing on this image.

Sam, I can't change female human anatomy. The question is whether the pose is a good one and you seem to be outnumbered here. I value your opinion, but I just don't agree with it if that's what you're saying.

Thanks, Baker! I think I will do exactly that. nod.gif

(Only it's going to take a while because I have a few other projects going on right now.)

    Cheers,

    "E tu, Joel" mwink.gifrofl

Nice going. Good vantage point, solid lighting! clap.gif

    Few nits:
    • don't like the blue thingie
    • the red channel is clipping, especially in her shoes
    • while the body pose is OK, the head position, facial expression and hair are wanting...
I'm sure it will get better with practice... thumb.gif
