I know this one doesn't fit tonally, but it is a specific part of the longer-term project and of the same day. So I thought I'd add.

I used to love wandering around the swampy suburbs of Shanghai. (tears)

#2 is so typical of the farm areas. Nice.

I think the vastness of the city can only be appreciated during the invariable above-ground runs as the subway leaves the city centre. One of my favourite things to do is to take a subway line all the way to the end, get off, pick a direction and go walking.

Absolutely. I used to live at the end of the line (as of 2004, not anymore) at Zhangjiang. I can't believe there is a stop in Chuansha now. I used to have to take a cab there!

I've spent a ton of time in Zhangjiang. My company has major offices there as well as many of the clients I worked with. The queues of those orange taxi's at the old end of the line were something!

For what it's worth. This particular set was taken in the community at the end of Line 5 which is a newish branch that extends off the southern end of Line 1.
