Here's a shot of close to max coverage from LA.

It was pretty cool! Nothing like a total, but you still get the surreal lighting effect.

Thanks! It was better than I expected. Wish I had a longer lens (only 200mm), but it cropped nicely.

Man, being in the little town of Kanarravile, (the Sweet spot) where maybe there live 200 people, and not one commercial store there. That town was packed with thousands of people, and when the perfect ring happened at 7:33 you could hear the cheers and excitement from throughout the whole town! wings.gifclap:ivar Yeah, that was almost as cool as the eclipse.

I've seen one total eclipse, and I agree, the moment it goes total is incredible! Where I was (Zambia), there was also a big celebration when the Sun returned from the darkness as well; lots of singing and dancing. Definitely something to be experienced.

Angelo, didn't you start the Eclipse thread in Big Picture??? mwink.gif Don't miss the Transit of Venus on June 5th!!! Last one of those in our lifetimes...
