Yosemite in November

Went up to Yosemite Sunday. A bit of a bust due to the weather. But I did
spend some time up on Tioga Road (which closed on Sunday at 6PM).
Weather was overcast with rain and snow.
Here are a couple of out-of-the-camera shots to whet your whistles.
Recall that in May, Bridal Veil Falls was raging. Not so Sunday.
The view from Tunnel View was obscured by clouds. It went from this...
to this...
in less than 10 minutes.
Late October and the winter in general are great times to visit the valley.
Most of the crowds are gone and the pace is more relaxed. Though finding
somewhere to stay on short notice can be a bit of a problem as things tend
to shut down for the winter.
I was fortunate to have met several photographers this trip. One from
Australia (Adelaide) via Florida, a local and a retired UCLA councelor.
Except for the weather, it was great to get back for a visit.

Completely enveloped in fog...couldn't see my hand in front of my face

I threw your shot into photoshop and added THREE layers, all of them set to screen. I even saw some tree color. Amazing the detail in that photo.
With some workup (keeping the rolling fog in the sky) and bringing out the detail in the trees you'd have a killer photo!
