I shot this a few weeks ago at the winery they are getting married at just to get to know each other and glad I did. Shot this with no lights or any other pieces of equipment, just natural light and my D3s. Please let me know what you think and thank you for taking the time to view my work.

Love the sense of composition, great sense of light too, and I love that we get a great sense of the couple's personality. The only one that's a bit strange to me is #6 - I love the composition but the light pattern on them is a bit puzzling. I think I'd want them to be completely backlit, or lit, but this in-between attracts the eye to her butt (not sure if that's the intent). Maybe a different angle for them might've helped?
    I personally totally love #9 :)

Thank yo very much and on #6 I agree a little, I had a darker one but that's what she's wanted.

Thanks again for the time and comments!!

I guess I'll be the voice of negativity here.. But none of these pictures wow me...

Well, none is wrong, I do like the #8.
to me, a lot of them are suffering from excessive blank space, and/or emotion.
Poses are unflattering to the couple.

    Sorry. :(

#1 kinda cool back ground..the couple needs to strike a pose here.. it looks too random otherwise. Posing in general is killing it for me. There are no shots of them looking into the camera or at each other (aside from kissing), no close ups, and too many kissing shots and awkward kissing on top of that. haha. I think posing the couple and making them looking comfortable is the hardest part of any engagment shoot. You can have crappy backgrounds but if the couple is loose and comfortable then you can still get great images. The best backgrounds in the world can not make up for tight/uncomfortable couple.

also the clothes they chose for the shoot...not working for me, the guy mostly.

First of all thanks for taking the time to view. But really this was just getting to know them and the surrounding of where there wedding is going to be. So I asked if they wanted some pics taken while we were walking around. Nothing was planed at all just some random shots to get them comfortable with me.

Great composition and content. Looks like the couple had a lot of fun doing the shoot. They look relaxed and enjoying each other. That's not always easy to achieve. Congrats!

These are technically spot on! Great exposure, saturation, tones, etc and you NAILED that gorgeous sky! My only real issue is that I feel like a couples' portrait session should be somewhat intimate, and these are all taken from so far away. 6 and 8 are my faves.
