When my wife's Macbook Air died I removed the SSD (128GB) and put it into an external case. I've since changed computer setups so I no longer have need for this.
The Macbook Air's SSD is a very special size and interface - you cannot simply take the SSD out of this enclosure and use it in something else, unless that something else happens to be a Macbook Air.
This is the enclosure: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00740BJQ8/ref=wms_ohs_product
I can format the drive for Mac or PC before sending it to you. I used it (via USB 3.0) for my Lightroom catalog and scratch disk and it was very, very fast.
Comes as drive/enclosure (already assembled) with USB 3.0 cable, SATA cable, and the enclosure's box.
$150 shipped to CONUS - Payment by Amazon payments, check, or money order
