Here is another attempt at a light painted image. I'm using this for a final project in one of my classes. CC welcome.

Car looks great. Background hurts my eyes. Lower the lighting on the background a few notches?

Hopefully it doesn't hurt too bad as the background is just as important as the car. This is a project for my color fundamentals class and I am going for color contrast; colorful wall and monochromatic car. This is four exposures layered, processed and masked.

I have to agree with David on this one. For me, you need to select which is your main subject. Is it the car or the graffiti wall? The presentation seems to make both equal and it doesn't work for me. Either I emphasize the car or emphasize the graffiti but not both equally. Also, the framing is too tight. I would go for a more dramatic low, wide-angle isometric shot for the car if that is my main subject. Just my 2 cents on the shot so I hope you're not offended.

Thanks and I'm not offended at all. I do wish I was lower and I will definitely keep that in mind for my next one; there is no way I can re-shoot this. I will look to see if I can "subdue" the background a little and still get the effect I am going for.

Here is my revision with an exposure adjustment layer bringing the wall down 1 stop. I also fixed the wheels.
