Change existing category to subcategory?

Hi all,
Was just wondering if it is possible to move an existing category full of galleries into a subcategory of galleries. To illustrate:
I have a category called races, and within that category, I have multiple subcategories, each with their own galleries, so it goes for example:
Races (Category) -> <Date> Race name (Subcategory) -> Galleries (multiple)
I want it to be such that it is the following instead:
Races (Category) -> Year (Subcategory) -> <Date> Race name (Subcategory) -> Galleries (multiple)
Is this doable with the initial setup already in place? Or do I need to entirely delete/reupload everything?
Thanks!

category --> subcategory --> galleries
You can't have:
category --> subcategory --> subcategory --> galleries
So, you can't make the change you asked about because Smugmug doesn't have that many levels.
You never have to reupload to change categorization. The gallery settings for a gallery have the category and sub-category right there so you can just reclassify an existing gallery at any time without reupload. But, you have to live within the levels that Smugmug currently has.

Always include a link to your site when posting a question
I have an example here and here where you would list/link each category. This would virtually give you
another level.
