(over) processed beach image

Hi all, so while I sit here waiting....and waiting with no camera for my new one to arrive, I've been passing the time processing some older images. What are your thoughts on this one? I'm inclined to say its just too over the top, but I was playing around.

Here is the original. When I took the picture, I really liked the sky, but I don't think I did a great job of capturing it. So the post processing really brought some drama to it.

    Yes, sorry, too over the top. :-(

    If you have Photoshop or similar, you could try layering the images on top and play with opacity and blending modes. You might be able to find a happy balance between one and two.
