Do Watermarked Photos Carry Over to Facebook?

hi! do the watermarks we put on in SM stay on/with the photos when we share them on FB pages? Thank you, Im so new to this.

Still also looking for help to have someone show me an easy way to have a FB icon in my footer to connect to my FB page...I have read so many threads but alas, I am clueless. Thanks in advance for any steps you can kindly detail out for me.

Hi ghostwinds, welcome to Dgrin!

Yes, watermarks stay on the photos that are shared on Facebook.

If you have a Power or Pro account, you can certainly add a FB icon to your site. Add this code to the custom footer in your advanced customizer:

Make sure you enter the correct link to your Facebook page.
For the FB icon, you can find one that you like here:
http://findicons.com/search/facebook

Download it to your computer, then upload it to one of your unlisted galleries and insert a link to it in the code above. If you need more help with this, please add a link to your site so Dgrinners who can help can find your site. Including it in your signature works best so it's always there in your posts.

OK thank you...i downloaded the icon and all you said...the link show and does go to my FB page, BUT the icon just shows an X in the box. Im not suew how to grab the address to the icon in my gallery....i thought i did it right.....

Should i download the icon as a jpg?...it seems like icon wont show up in my uploader.....so the ones i uploaded are png that shows like an x....?

OK so frustrated....downloaded icon as .png cause SM needs to upload ...copied the png location from my browser bar as to the location of my png in the unlisted gallery....still gettin box with a red x...

also wanted to repost cause it may have got lost in this mess of replies i have here...do we need rss feed at bottom of page?...how to get rid of?

and how to get a sig here on dgrin...with my website in it..

You can disable feeds in your control panel if you don't want to use them. Settings Tab.

I got the button to work...its huge ...but thanks!!! now i think i need a smaller button ....can u answer the other 2 questons tho?

Click the clipboard, upper right on the dgrin screen.

Find the icon you want to use - upload it to your SmugMug site and show me where it is. Then I will change it for you.

Holy cow...how did u do that? im new to this...so i didnt know u could fix! How can i make it smaller andy? is that a code thing or getting a smaller icon? Im still just blown away that u could go in and fix....thank u so much...ive been struggling with this for hours.

OK the link above is the icon i really want to use....so how did u get the location of the photo for me? How do I get it...its different than what I see in my browser? If i wanit small do I just down load a smaller looking icon?

How is it now? I made it 50x50 pixels.

how aout 40x 40? i want is seen but its not the main thing.....(i have no idea about pixel size but a tad smaller would prolly look better)
