Anyone have any experience with this drive array?

I am looking at this for my backups.

B&H $649 4Tb
Adorama $649 4Tb

Link to Glyph

Looks like a good warranty.

Thanks
Fred

Sounds good on paper, but did you read the customer comments on the B&H site you linked to?

    Thanks Sam.
Yes I did see that but only one review...that's why I'm here.
I seen some stuff on You tube...and it seems to be hit with the music crowd.

I sure like the looks of their stuff.

Another contender is the GT 062E this model goes up 6 Tb with the 4 Tb at about $409.
And it has better reviews also.

Still have not made up my mind.
I am leaning towards GT 062E with two drives this will probably suite my needs.

Maybe some else has some experience.

    Thanks

Check out the Lacie raid drives. I have 2 2Big Quadras that have been nice to use. Haven't had an issue yet, so I haven't tested them in that way.

Thanks Dog I did look at Lacie and they are in the running too.

I guess all raid drives report when one drive fails or has problems?

Has anyone heard of a two drive raid system where one drives dies but doesn't report?
That would be bad me thinks.

Check out G-RAID. That's what RED uses to back up all their stuff. I have a 4tb and it works great. Same price range as you're looking at. They even make one that's hot-swappable.

It looks a lot like this product sold by OWC:

I've heard there's a company that basically churns these boxes out and a number of companies private label OEM them. Unsure on the overall quality though.

    I did see those drives.

Looking back in different threads I did see where Pathfinder has one of these.

Not to make this too difficult but I don't want any problems after I buy.

I am using windows 7 with 24g of ram
    Intel Cor i7 cpu @ 3.20ghz
    64 bit system and I think I have one eSATA...I know I have 2 SATA's open.

I am looking for 2 tb of Raid storage...I think in Raid 1

The G RAID only offers RAID 0
The G RAID mini only offers 1.5 tb in RAID 1. $400
The G speed Q offers what I need but its getting expensive. I think $800.

    LaCie 4tb 2 big Quadra is $469
So this is the latest contender.

    Thanks
