Shooting birds remotely

I am looking to set up a shooting system using my laptop tethered to my Canon 7D via 10 mtres (33 feet) USB cable. However as most will know that is to long a cable for the camera to be recognised by the laptop. Has anyone found a way to overcome this either by the use of a line amplifier or some such device to help the signal drive through a long usb cable?

You'll need to probably use something like this:

This, versus a more versatile setup of radio triggers and eyefi cards, should be considered.

Thanks Ryan, I have found cat5 extenders problem is I have 2 x 10mtres USB Cables I would dearly like to use and not confine to the useless bits bin. If they make USB cab with wired in boosters I thought one might be able to buy plug in ones to ass to the end of the USB cables.
