I have pictures 40 years old, may be more, that I want to scan.
The photos are:
30 cms * 40 cms = 0.98 feet * 1.31 feet = 11.81 inches 15.74 inches .
:clap Any tips for a convenient scanner for this purpose ?:clap
Thank you.:):

Hello Antonio,
I did a similar effort for my family a few years ago - I warn you, it's addicting! I ended up scanning 1500 photos :uhoh
Anyhow, look around at the electronics stores in your area. Here in the U.S., many scanners can be found for $100 USD or less even. Of course, you can spend more!
Good luck.

But be careful, most flatbed scanners are limited to 8 inches by 11 or 15 inches. Some scanners will let you combine more than one scan to merge seperate scans into one image, but this will slow things down a whole lot. Wider and longer scanners may be available for the graphics arts industry, but not as a general office tool.

I noticed that, as moderator, you have erased the anwser from the other person and the one from me. It was not a valid sugestion. It was a good thing to do..
Thank you

It's these little attitudes that make smugmug a site with quality.
Serious and honest. Good work.
Go on.
