Good Evening Folks,
Gotta luv a 5D2. Here's a dinner shot (lol) taken at 25600. Never had any trouble focusing in low light, and I've shot in tunnels where the only available light was from a hard hat. Yeah, I do use center point af. After I sent my refurb 5D2 back to Canon for high noise issues, I can't believe the difference. An electrical adjustment was apparently made to the sensor, according to the paperwork.
Have a good night :D
Jim...

If a $1407 refurbed camera is this good at 25600 iso, just imagine what it can do on a regular day...

    Good Morning Folks,
Thanks for your comments thumb.gif MK, I'll have to get Linda a cook book. I get tired of being in the dog house rolleyes1.gifI found out using jpegs at higher iso's gives me better, cleaner shots then converting from RAW. Not sure why, but I can see a difference after 3200 iso. Canon came through when they adjusted the sensor. I also use a demo version of Neat Image, that's works really well, and doesn't degrade the detail.
    Thanks again thumb.gif
    Have a good day :D

Jpegs are better then RAW. So you just set your camera to shoot in Jpeg mode minus RAW's?
