I finally got out to shoot early one morning. The fog made for some neat shots.
Here are a few:

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Thanks John,
I tell myself that often. The traffic makes me lose my creative interests this early. I usually wait for the weekend and have to take what I can get.

You are right about that Dixie! Work keeps me home now. Phone begins ringing by 7 am! Hopefully this weekend we will have similar conditions. mwink.gif

    harry,
this foggy morning stuff should be around for another few weeks. It is so cool when the sunrises and the ground fog becomes illuminated...hope you get out there now that the kids are gone. I have to tell you, the roads are so bad out there that I have second thoughts lately. I went into a bad hole last week..camera and coffee went flying!

I hate it when the coffee goes flying. I know most of the potholes by now so I've been able to avoid them but you have to keep your eyes on the road at certain sections which is tough when you are also looking for subjects to shoot. You really have to be careful after a rain when the water fills up the potholes.

I thought I knew most of them too...but a few have gone from pothole to sinkhole!

Gosh, Trish, that first shot is heaven itself, and the second ain't bad either!

    Fantastic shots!

    Go gird, Go!

(You do know my camera is off for warranty repairs, I remember you not having one. You did make it...........and you got these wonderful photos. I will say that I have not seen that stuff here, so I would not know where/when to look. They say on the news that there may be spotty fog in the AM, I have no idea where to look.)

But I do want my camera and in the next couple of days! Am enjoying the break after heavy weeks of shooting, but by this weekend, I should be going nuts..........totally. How long were you without?
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

    Hi dee,
Thanks! I never realized how difficult it would be to get a decent fog shot..I must have taken over 50 and the first one was the only one that had appeal.

The second one was a fluke...but looks like the ducks were running track!

Ginger, here the ground fog is typically everywhere at sunrise. I wait a little bit ..and if I get lucky the upper air clears and leaves ground fog.

I hated!! being w/o my camera.. took a total of about 8 days. The worst time was being w/o it over the weekend. My shooting time is drastically cut now due to working long hours, and the sun going down WAY too early! I am lucky if I can catch a few hours on the weekend!

Enjoy the time w/o your camera and formulate a new shooting plan...things you want to capture over the next few months. I did that and did some research where I could get the shots I want.

    Enjoy the down time!
