Good Bye for Now
Hi Y'all,
Once again Iwill be taking my leave for a bit. I'm leaving for the Big Apple on Wednesday. After a visit to Mecca (aka -B&H) and some good food Linda and I will be leaving for S.Africa on Friday. If I survive the 14 hour flight in coach I hope to get some Africa captures over the following 9 days. With luck I'll be back on June 22nd.
Y'all behave and keep away from those squirrels, puppy dogs amd kitty cats.
Here's a few captures from the rookery in St. Augustine
Roseate Spoonbill - D300 with the 300mmf/4 and 1.4 TC
wood stork
D300 and 300mm f/4
Tri-color heron in its breeding colors
D300 and 300mm f/4
Cattle egret in its breeding colors
D3 with the 300mm f/4 and 1.4 TC
you can never have too many spoonbill captures
D3 with the 300mm f/4 and 1.4 TC
The larger bidrs (great egrets and wood storks) have the strength to break off the upper branchs for their nesting materials. The smaller egrets and herons don't have that strength to break off those higher branches so their search for nesting material can be a tad more hazerdous.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
