Thoughts on Some Airshow People

I've been trying to shoot a few more people along with the aircraft at recent air shows, and wanted to get some thoughts from the collective here on a few shots. These were taken at the American Airpower Museum during the recent Jones Beach Air Show. I have a trial version of Nik software Color Efex Pro 4, and was playing with some of the filters. I like them, but I'm looking for some feedback from the "People" people here - too much post, or are they good?

1 - 101st Airborne Reenactor, "standing guard" before our C-47 D-Day Flight Experience.

2 - Crew member from the B-17 Yankee Lady with his airplane.

Captain Dan, one of the AAM's pilots, he flies the snot out of everything we have, and is a super nice guy as well. A couple of different crops of the same image.

Photos look alittle flat to me. Did you raise your black point any? I really, really like #2. Don't forget that you can mask some of the faces brighter in Photoshop.

Thanks for the feedback, Charles. No, I don't think I adjusted the black point, I'll take another pass at these.
