Treading Water

Spotted this young aphid on top of the compost bin lid tonight - trapped in a layer of rain water and not making much progress. Because of a concrete post (washing line attached to it) I couldn't change the angle and I didn't want to try moving the lid of the compost bin, as that might have made the water run away, and with it, the aphid too would go!

So this is the only shot I took.

WDYT?
