Here are some shots from a local hike I took one evening while staying in the scenic little town of Hood River. A local photographer gaciously helped me out with some good tips on places to shoot.

The wind was horrendous this particular night, so I had to bump up the ISO to compensate. Thus they are a little grainy. While color looking toward Mt. Hood was not too hot, looking toward Mt. Adams across the Gorge was nice. Both can be seen from the overlooks one to the north and the other to the south. Also I must add the flowers were past prime unlike Dog Mountain which was peaking at its higher elevation. Still it was a nice way to spend this evening (May 16th).

*Updated version: I reworked the sky as it was a bit dull/bright in the original. I managed to bring out more of the color which seems to help a bit:

This third picture I captured was literally a driveby with three states represented in 'one' photo. :D It was shoot across the bridge from Hood River on the WA side (White Salmon) with Mt. Hood in the background and of course California Poppies in the foreground. These guys were growing wildly in many places right along the roadsides along with lupine.

Beautiful images of a great little town. I love that part of Oregon. Great little pizza joint with craft beers too.

Thanks for the input guys. I updated the second image as the sky seemed a bit flat. See the updated version above.
