    Cool idea. I think I'd rather see something of the painting or your girlfriend's face though. The paper with paint blobs seems to be the subject and there is so much more going on that is out of sight.

    It's a great idea. But I agree with LeDude..I think there're too many distracting things going on in this picture - the little white bed in the corner, the half mug, the bright light behind her are all quite distracting from the topic of interest even though they do probably rightly represent a painter's workplace :)
    Maybe if you come up from her front, or close in into the painting she's doing, it would be more appealing. my 2 cents..
