I haven't posted a lot lately so I thought I'd better get some done before everyone assumed I'd passed away!

For the first time in WEEKS we are having a warm and sunny day today so I grabbed my camera and headed into the garden which, thanks to all of the rain, is quite lush. I have both roses and lilacs blooming much earlier than usual (for this north eastern environment) and positively humungous hostas threatening to take over the world :clap

As usual, comments and suggestions are always welcome.

The last one is my favorite; it has lots of texture and pattern. The white in the first looks a little blown (if not my monitor) but your rose bush looks fabulous! They all look lush, healthy and colorful! So different from the brown desert we have! :)

Thanks for looking and commenting. I agree, the last one, the hosta, definitely has more depth than the other two. The rose is a bit blown - shot at high noon rolleyes1.gif on a sunny day. Bad me!

We've had a remarkably warm and humid spring so everything is growing gangbusters - and early.

In February, though, I totally envy you as we slog through arse-deep snow.:cryrolleyes1.gif

Thanks. We had about 3 days of summer-like temperatures back in March - like 28C - and many bushes, shrubs and trees mistakenly thought it was spring and started to bud-out. Then winter returned and the results were disastrous to many. This little shrub was just planted last spring and I was afraid it would not survive that experience, but it is the ONLY lilac in the neighbourhood to blossom this year - so I am the envy of my peers rolleyes1.gif.

Sounds like you experienced the same kind of weather we did this spring/summer/winter ... hard to know which season it is rolleyes1.gifYour Lilac bush must be in just the right spot thumb.gif
