Threatening Skies...

This morning, I was trying to decide whether to ride to wok or drive. As it turned out, I was very glad that I drove!!

I generally try to keep my HDR work pretty natural looking, but pushed this one just a bit.

    Comparing to many HDR shots I have seen, this looks quite balanced. You captured the dynamic range of the clouds quite well without resorting to making the quartertones look almost black--nice restraint! I can't really find much to pick at in this shot; I really like it! Perhaps the only thing that looks a but odd--but may fully represent what you saw--is the rather even and homogeneous DR of the grass and hills. It looks a little too pallid compared to the sky. But as I said, it may have really looked like this.

    Fantastic sky complemented by the green rolling meadow. The junk in the bottom of the shot, particularly on the lower left detracts I think. Processing looks great.
