I don't have any sort of photography equipment other than a camera, a lens, and a tripod.

The camera does have a "Hi Key" setting, so if I take a photo of something, say, with a bright foreground and background, does that count? I have read a few of the examples, but I'd like to know what the challenges participants think.

What is the difference between Hi-Key and overexposure? for example, and this is outside of the date range, I took a photo of Frisco pier and held the shutter open for 1/4 second, which blew out everything but the wood of the pier.

so: hi-key? just overexposed? Most of the hi-key pictures I've seen on here look like they're taken in a lightbox and the subject has a lot more detail.
