Presumably the 24-85 will be the kit lens for the D600 and the 18-300 DX will replace the 18-200 DX. Remains to be seen how good these guys will be, but from my perspective, as someone who is interested in the potential D600 and a current DX shooter, I am not excited about either of these. That's probably because I am more interested in an all (or mostly) prime kit, but even for zooms, I'd rather spend more money on good glass and less on the body, so I'd be more inclined to pair the 24-70 f/2.8 or even the 24-120 f/4 with the D600 as a normal zoom. Granted, f/3.5-4.5 isn't all that different from constant f/4, so maybe this 24-85 will be alright as a walkaround. It's certainly a lot cheaper than that 24-120.

All in all, I'm fairly ambivalent about these. I'm more interested in the new 28 f/1.8, and hopeful for another wider prime in the 14-16mm range, f/2 or faster.

The 24-70 2.8 is a pretty big lens and seems that a big part of the design of the D600 seems to be about keeping it a lot smaller... Certainly, as a walkabout lens, it's a bunch of weight and size for not a lot of versatility, even if it is a super nice lens.
