Hi everyone. I havent posted here in a long time, I'd been struggling with my photography and my editing process and wasnt taking a lot of photos.

Now however I'm trying to do what I can to move from hobbyist to paid photographer. I've had my D90 for 3-4 years now (just purchased a new Nikon 70-200 f2.8), I've taken photos of motorsports, animals, rugby union, night, portraits but wanted to learn more. I'm just about to finish an 8 week course in Sydney, as part of the final week we get to choose a max of 30 photos to show and possibly get nominated for a top 30 across the full intakes 60ish students.

Here is my current collection I want to show. Would appreciate your thoughts.

I will say that the last 4 were taken before the course started and we've been told only photos taken during the course will be accepted. The reason I want to include them is they're my fav photos and would like to ask my tutors opinion of them.

During the course we had a field trip into Sydney. Sydney still has lots of alleyways and buildings built by the convicts. Did an aged filter via LR.

During the course we had a field trip into Sydney. I figured the best way to end the (official) collection was with our iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. It was pouring rain and the walk back to my car after this I got drenched waste down.

I don't think your panning shots work very well. Shouldn't the subject be in focus?
Creating visual and verbal images that resonate with you.

Thanks for your input. It was 8:30pm, the ISO had to be high & the shutter slow. I wasn't after full focus shots & I think unless you're on a tripod its close to impossible. The bike was probably bout doing 20-40km/h & getting faster. I don't think night photography needs to be all about focus.
