Detroit definately has some great pre Great-Depression Architecture. They're mostly in ruins now, but nonetheless they make good subjects. I ventured downtown at night with a friend last weekend. Here are some results. C&C welcomed.

I'm interested, what did you do to get this kind of effect, was it mostly post processing or in camera?

In the interest of learning how to do city shot's like these how did you get that effect, its very cool? 3 & 4 almost look like stills from an animation, very gothic city like.
Actually looking at them more I really like No.1 with the lone light in the window.
Thanks for sharing.

I don't understand what effect you're referring to.
They're all just time lapse shots with 30 second exposures at f8.
With 100 ISO

Thats fine, just a long exposure on tripod then. I just didn't know whether you had used any filter. I haven't really been out at night that much with the camera so I wouldn't have known, nor had any experience with long exposures as I'm still awaiting a tripod too!
Thanks for pointing this out, you just have to excuse my stupidity at times, fairly new to the camera.:D
