You never know which bird is going to lay claim to the watering hole on any given day, but on this day there was one was saying .. 'This is all mine'.

    Love them Mary!iloveyou.gif

Good technique and composition. They are very engaging and fun! The pale, weathered colours-textures of the wood and basin work beautifully with the subject.

Very pretty birds, too. What are they?

Glad to hear you liked them Neil. I almost didn't edit them because of the pale colors. It was such a cloudy dreary day. Cold to. Reason for the fighting was the top of the water was frozen and the birds had pecked open their drinking holes. No one wanted to give it up :D

The birds are Blackbirds .. there are many varities. They have the yellowest eyes. Almost scary, but their heads and body feathers are such pretty colors.
