The Real Utah?

I don't want to pretend that this is a good landscape shot. I would like to suggest that this may better represent the heart of Utah. The emotional landscape, if you will. Zions, Bryce, and Arches don't fully represent where I live. Yes, those things are a wonderfully beautiful part of Utah. They are well photographed every season. In this shot, however, I wanted to show the every day Utah. The kind of landscape most people speed past on their way to the National Parks. If it wasn't for all the mind-blowing red rock mesas, rock formations, and golden arches maybe the rest of Utah would get a bit more love?

If you are interested in much better landscape photography that shows the "real" Utah, I highly recommend the work of Scott Stringham. Some of his work around the Great Salt Lake is not only beautiful, it is historically important. Scott really understands the true soul of Utah landscape, where it lives, and how best to show it off. A run through his galleries won't be a wast of your time.

Thanks for the share. He's got some really inspiring stuff. Will have to look through all of his shots when I have more time.
