Snail Nail (yes, I don't mean snail mail...)

But in the age of photography on the internet, everything is faster than snail mail of course. But snails remain as slow as ever. I know, I know. It's a lousy play on words, lol...
Anyway, here is a banded snail, slowly, ever so slowly making it's way across a bit of wood in the garden (belonged to next doors' fence once), at the moment or thirty moments that it came upon the titular nail...
I wanted to accentuate the rust as much as the snail so I have very deliberately made it all over saturated and hope this doesn't make you dislike it it too much.

I think the cropping is necessary and the first thing to focus on, and a B&W conversion is more of a personal preference/experiment that might come out much better for your intentions.
